APPLICATIONS

Where Coir Mats Are Used

Civil, environmental and landscaping works where erosion control and vegetation are required.

Slope stabilization

Slope Stabilization

Controls erosion on slopes and embankments by reducing runoff speed.

Riverbank protection

Riverbank Protection

Stabilizes banks and channels using higher GSM coir mats.

Construction sites

Construction Sites

Protects exposed soil until vegetation is fully established.

Roadside embankments

Roadside Embankments

Prevents soil washout near highways, drains and culverts.

Landscaping and parks

Landscaping & Parks

Improves seed retention and moisture for healthy green cover.

Drainage channels

Drainage & Channels

HOW IT WORKS

Natural Base for Soil Protection & Vegetation

Coir weave reduces raindrop impact, holds soil, and retains moisture. Roots grow through the mat and it biodegrades naturally.

Prepare surface

Prepare Surface

Remove debris and level soil for full mat contact.

Roll and overlap

Roll & Overlap

Install tight and overlap joints to avoid gaps.

Fix with pins

Fix with Pins

Secure edges and overlaps; add more pins if needed.

FAQ

Common Questions

Quick answers to help you select GSM and plan installation.

Which GSM should I choose?
400 for gentle landscaping, 700 for moderate slopes, 900 for steep slopes/construction, and 1400 for riverbanks/high-flow zones.
Do I need pins/stakes for fixing?
Yes. Fix edges, overlaps and mid areas. Increase pins in steep and high runoff areas to avoid lifting.
Can we add seeds under the mat?
Yes. Spread seeds and light topsoil/compost before laying mats. Coir helps retain moisture and protects seeds from washout.
What to do after heavy rain?
Inspect overlaps and edges. Re-fix any lifted areas immediately to prevent washout.
